Pre-Pride Cookout Is A Success!

On a clear evening on June 15th, 2012, BRAD hosted the Pride Cookout for both members and non members at John Kitchens and Rolf Hagton’s house. Our appreciation goes to Rolf and John for being gracious hosts at their beautiful patio for the third year in a row! It was with GREAT success! We had an OUTSTANDING and RECORD BREAKING TURNOUT of 63 people in attendance! There were some people who came for the first time and we were delighted to see some new faces. What a BLAST night that was! BRAD provided the hamburgers, hot dogs and brats. Some brought their favorite dish to share. Everything was YUMMY! Special thanks to John Beall and Tom Schluep’s neighbor for the PRIDE rainbow cakes. That was some BRIGHT colorful delicious cakes!! Our gratitude goes to Perry Mott who was a “BIG” helping hand grilling the meats for us.

The BRAD committee was grateful for Henry Cook and Steven Ripple who donated their homemade jello shots for BRAD. BIG THANKS to Henry and Steven for helping us make an extra $100.00 profit!!

Our 33/33/33 big winners were John Beall and Sheila Telavakar! John Beall donated $20.00 of his winning money to BRAD! Many thanks, John! We had so many winners for the ten door prizes that night that it was impossible to name everyone. Door prizes includes one year free membership and two $15 BRAD admission cards for any BRAD future events. Special thanks to Chuck McCory for donating the seven door prizes for this event. CONGRATULATIONS to all the lucky winners!

It was a fun, enjoyable event celebrating our gay pride weekend with friends. We all agreed this was one GREAT fun party to remember!

Summertime is here! Have a GREAT and SAFE summer! Don’t forget to protect yourself from the sun!

Please check our web site www.bradohio.com for our next BRAD’s exciting event which will be “Wines and Beers Tasting of Ohio” on August 18th! Hope to see you there!

Many of you have asked if we will be having the annual BRAD picnic. Yes we will!  We decided to do “End of Summer” Picnic in September instead of July. Weather should be much cooler! 🙂  More information on the picnic will be coming out soon.
