On a beautiful clear cold New Year Eve night, BRAD hosted a dinner at the La Fogata Grill in the Short North area. Twenty guests were in attendance. GREAT Mexican food and Margaritas were served in a very cozy relaxing atmosphere. Everyone seemed to enjoyed the evening with their loved ones and friends. After dinner, we went next door to Union Station for a few drinks. It has been an incredible, exciting evening with lots of laughter and fun. As the clock was ticking towards the New Year, some of us went to a bar of our choice to welcome the New Year 2012! BRAD committee wish everyone good health, happiness and prosperity into the New Year!
BRAD’s next event will be a Valentine dinner at Bar Louie at Easton Mall on Feb. 11th, 2012 for 6pm. Please join us on this special night with your loved ones or bring a very special friend. More information about this event will be out soon on BRADOHIO website.

On a sunny fall mid-afternoon of November 12th, 2011, BRAD hosted members only Thanksgiving dinner at Bob Donaldson’s house. Many thanks to Mr. Donaldson for letting BRAD use his home for our 22 members to enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. Members brought in their favorite appetizers, specialty dishes and desserts. We all agreed that everything tasted HEAVENLY including Bob Donaldson’s turkey! Everyone truly enjoyed the evening with fun and laughter. The BRAD committee is so grateful for Lyndy Stephens, Rolf Hagton and David Pirc who were BIG helping hands making things easier on us with the event hosting.
As the year 2011 is coming to an end, BRAD has so much to be thankful for all the FANTASTIC turnout of events that were hosted in 2011! We look forward for your continuing support to our wonderful organization throughout 2012.
Please join us at our last event of the year. BRAD will be hosting a “New Year’s Eve” dinner on Dec. 31st 2011 at La Fogata Grill on High St in Short North for 6pm. Come join BRAD in celebrating the arrival of 2012!
On a beautiful windy fall night of October 15th 2011, BRAD hosted the second annual “OktoBRADfest”. It was with GREAT success! We had an OUTSTANDING turnout of thirty-five people in attendance! Members and non members enjoyed tasting nine different beers from the Americas – such countries as Mexico, Caribbean Islands, Canada and USA, etc. The beer tasting took place at John Kitchens and Rolf Hagton’s beautiful outdoor patio. What a FUN night that was! Not only did we have great beers to taste, we had different appetizers provided by the BRAD Social Advisory Committee that includes stuffed mushrooms, cocktail shrimps and Mexican rolls. Marty Thacker donated her seven layers Mexican dip to the appetizers table. Thanks Marty! We also had a FABULOUS Mexican taco style buffet with shredded chicken, beef and baby shrimp with all the toppings, spanish rice and three different kinds of homemade Rolf Hagton’s YUMMY pound cakes. The buffet was provided by Rolf Hagton and John Kitchens. Everything was DELICIOUS! Many went home happy with a full stomach of food and beers! We had many winners for our door prizes! Prizes were T-shirts from BRAD (2) and the Hills Market (4), two gift baskets, one year BRAD membership and one free admission to any upcoming BRAD event. We had so many winners that night it was impossible to name everyone. Our 50/50 winner was BRAD spokesperson Bob Donaldson! Special thanks to Ellen Liedtke, Betty Rogers, Perry Mott, Lyndy Stephens, David Pirc and Chuck McCrory who were big helping hands making things easier on us with the event hosting. MOST IMPORTANTLY, THE BRAD COMMITTEE IS SO GRATEFUL FOR ROLF HAGTON AND JOHN KITCHENS WHO HELPED THE BRAD ORGANIZATION MAKE ONE OF THE BEST PROFIT WE HAD IN YEARS!

On July 9, 2011, BRAD hosted the 2nd annual picnic at Goodale Park in downtown Columbus. It was a beautiful warm sunny afternoon at the park. Fifteen friends showed up. Each person brought their favorite dish to share along with their own meat to grill. Everyone seemed to have enjoyed the long lazy summer afternoon from 11am to 430pm. We played corn toss and badminton. Lots of laughter and sweat went into playing these two games. Special thanks to Lyndy Stephens and Perry Mott for helping the BRAD committee setting up this picnic early before friends arrived and to Dawn Gennusa for letting us borrow her two FUN games! Thanks to all of you who came to make this an enjoyable relaxing day! Summer is short, enjoy the rest of the summer days and we are looking forward to the canoe/kayak trip coming up on Aug. 13th.
